Can an old dog be trained?
Yes and YES!
The old adage that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks is of course a ridiculous idea. As older dogs are usually calmer than puppies and often have longer attention spans than puppies, we find that they normally learn new tricks a lot quicker than younger dogs. However, when there have been years of bad habits it can take time and consistency to turn those around. I have never met a dog that cannot learn new things, no matter what its age.
We help all aged dog issues too, such as dealing with deaf and blindness as well as managing sore joints and incontinence.
